Monday, March 29th, 2010The Museum of Russian Art (TMORA) in Minneapolis, MN is the only museum in North America that is dedicated exclusively to the presentation of Russian art and artifacts. The museum was founded in 2002 and seeks to preserve and display historically and artistically significant examples of Russian art and artifacts. Through the universal language of art the TMORA offers visitors a unique perspective of Russia, a country with a recorded history that spans over one thousand years. The exhibits at the museum provide a gateway to understanding Russia’s history, its heritage, and its art through the masterworks of some of its greatest artists. The “Izba” (gift shop) is an experience in itself. A favorite destination for us when we do shows in the area, the gift shop is a treasure trove of the best in folk, historical and artistic crafts.
